The White Hag Irish Brewing Company is based in Ballymote, Co. Sligo, and has become one of Ireland’s most recognisable independent breweries since opening in 2014. Their name comes from ancient Irish mythology, where the Hag was a guardian spirit of nature and the land — a story that influences much of the brewery’s branding and personality.

The brewery is known for its balance of creativity and approachability. They brew everything from big pastry stouts and sour beers to crisp lagers and clean pale ales, but the common thread is consistency and quality. Over the years they’ve built a strong local following and an international reputation, helped in part by their annual “Hagstravaganza” festival — a celebration of Irish and global craft beer.
